Pointless International is an English speaking international clown performance for an adult audience. Matthias de Koning, Jorn Heijdenrijk, Czeslaw de Wijs and Vincent van den Berg have joined forces with Stan Vreeken to combine the best of the stage with the best of the circus.

Following the clowns' early 19th-century spread from Paris throughout Europe, Pointless International honors the classic clowns scenes with the same force, originality and intimacy as the original. Characterized by their theatrical and narrative nature, these scenes belong not to any of the clowns exclusively but to a collective repertory that all circus artists have been enriching for more than a hundred years.

Pointless International is a circus without lions, tigers, or bears. It has no trapeze artists, jugglers or acrobats. There are no horses, goats or piglets; Pointless International is a circus of clowns.

Pointless International does not shun careless fun and entertainment, but please be aware: Even clowns can not be mere temporary shelters, creating a moment of standstill in falling down. In other words, the artistic craftsmanship of the clowns offers more than just superficial amusement. The content is the biggest joke (or with nothing less than clownish irony and referring to our name Pointless International could we add here that the lack of content is our content). To be a clown is an existential trial, or rather: clowns are an existential trial!
